This is just a heads-up. Even though my wife had made reservations for us at Best Western for the F-Body Gathering and we had the reservation number, I had found out through Art Schroeder (thanks Art) that Best Western had no record of us having a reservation. We had reserved one of the orgiginal king bed, non-smoking rooms that had been set aside. This was done in early June. When we called back a week or two ago after Art pointed out the problem, we were told we could now have a queen bed room and that they could not guarantee it would be non-smoking. hmmmm.
Just thought I should pass this on in case this has happened to someone else and you don't know it yet. BG is only couple of hours from here in southern Indiana, I'd hate to see someone come across the country expecting to have a room waiting only to find out there was none.
I called them a few minutes ago to re-reconfirm my reservation and they still had us down for the room. We can only be there Friday and Saturday nights. I think that was one of the things that confused them in the first place. Anyway, now you have been warned.

I had the same concern at the Best Western. They gave a coonfirmation # that was valid and no record of my name. Glad we called before I drove down there.

I definitely want to encourage everybody to do this. I called 'em up and it took them about 5 minutes to find my reservation. Better to spend 5 minutes on the phone now then to hope you have a room waiting for you as they try to find your reservation on the 18th.
