I recieved in the mail the upgraded coverage for my car. I dont know what to do because it is expencive and dont think it is worth it at this point. I was wondering if any major problems have happen to anyone after the 3/36. to me major is more than $200. let me know. Also, for exhaust. I am looking for a catback, but dont want flowmaster, for it is too loud. maybe 2/3 of it but quiet inside. also looking for more than 5% gain in hp. if someone could offer me a brand or type I would be grateful. slp is an option but dont know what it sounds like. Thanks all. Matt [Confused]

Any major problem could happen at any time under warranty or out of warranty. I don't buy any extended service plans because I fix my own vehicles. A trans, engine, rear end,a/c compressor,ECM related repair could be a bunch of money. For the extended factory GM warranty,I beleive you can wait just before the cars bumper to bumper warranty expires and still purchase it.I could be wrong. [Smile]

I have a very simple theory about buying warranty coverage for anything: the prices charged are figured out by very smart actuaries with access to cost and repair experience... and figured out so THEY make money. I'd never buy....

Ididn't buy the extended soley becasue down the road I want to make mods to the SS that will in fact void it. In the meantime, with the 3/36 warranty, I'm goign to be making mods that wont hurt the warranty (such as intake and exhaust) Just my basic thinking.
