I'll try to get the pics done today, I took quite a few.

First let me just say that it took 18 1/2 hours to get there - about 4 hours longer than I expected - which put me in BG on Wednesday night at 12:30 AM (Thursday morning)after leaving here at 6 AM.

Now on to the good stuff. It was so great meeting all the folks from the SSOA - Teri & Steve, John Scott, PoSSum, J.R., Tom Mackesy, Raggs, Colin from Gerogia who's been a member forever but hides from the board [Wink] , etc., etc. I have to say that this is a really terrific group of people and I am glad to have met you all through this association.

Well Thursday morning we all did the mad rush to the manual car wash to get hundreds of miles of grime and weather off the cars. For many of us, it was the first time the cars had been in the rain!

We then headed for the BG assembly plant tour and had a nice (and pretty interesting) tour. The new Charcoal gray metalic color for '03 is really nice - and I found the color for the spokes for my new TT lls !

The cruise that afternoon the Boultons landing was outstanding! The winding Kentucky back roads were host to 41 SSOA cars all together for the most part, snaking along, past horse drawn Amish carriages, and through farm country - what a sight!

Dinner was a nice time to chat and I took pictures at most of the tables I think, so I should have those later.

After dinner it was off to go cart racing and we all had a good time - some of us more agressively than others! Highlights: Teri couldn't reach the pedals, the guy from the Corvette Museum (can't remember his name) was a madman, and several people were cautioned for intentional hits!

Saturday morning was road racing - you'll hear about that that from the guys that participated, then off to the Shaker Museum tour. The cruise was pretty cool, not as good as the SSOA cruise because we couldn't keep together but we were led and trailed by anniversary convertibles with flashing lights.

When we got back from the museum the skies opened up and it rained for pretty much the rest of the evening. That afternoon when we got back from the tour there were hundreds of F-Bodys of all description in the Museum parking lot getting detailed to the hilt, and now they were all getting rained on! By the way, Mark the "bad one" was there with the electron blue Berger when we got back too.

The Barbeque was nice, two people took delivery of Brickyard LEs and they had the last Firebird and Camaro off the line under the tent.

Since it was raining, the BBQ ended fairly quickly and it was back to the Hotel for various forms of hanging out - beer at one station, Oreo cookie floats at another, Chris in the Pink Cow robe, etc.

Since I have very important meetings on Monday, I couldn't take the chance with the 18 hour drive on Sunday, so I left at 4AM Saturday morning. The good news is I took a different route back which the bartender at the BBQ told me about, and it took 13 hours on the return trip.

Glad I went, sorry I had to leave early, next time I'll try to make sure I have Monday and Tuesday off. (I did plan for Monday off this time, but I have executives coming in from Germany and couldn't say no). All in all, a great time and I can't say enough about how much I enjoyed meeting everyone. Thanks for having me in the "club".

Thanks for the first report. It sounds exactly as I expected. It is so great to have new people involved with the group! The more that experience what a friendship it becomes, the better. Now, for some pictures!! I can't wait for next year.

Just got home myself. Looked for you on Sunday so I could say hello. Now I know why I could not find your car.

It was great meeting you, but Mark - banned from SLP, has the Silver SS with Black stripes, and Andy (me) owns the Electron Blue Berger!

Had an awesome time too, it was great talking with you and thanks for the great synopsis.
