As most of you know (just check the back of your fbodfather t-shirt from BG), the next stop on the Camaro Legends Tour after BG was in Evansville, IN this weekend. I live in Evansville and the annual AutoFest is a really big deal here. It was moved a couple of years ago from a stadium here in town to the downtown area on the riverfront. (I have a few pictures of my SS LE on the riverfront at my webshots page) It's a pretty nice area for an event of this type. They expected about 600 cars and 30,000 visitors for the 2 1/2 days.
Anyway, to make a long story short - I was able to park my SS LE with the Legends Tour!!!! I don't mean 'close to the Tour' or 'just next to the tour'. I mean WITH the Tour!
That was just sooooo cool! And, yes, I do have photographic evidence.
I got to sit an talk with Scott B. from the Tour for about 1/2 hour. We talked about cars - go figure.
Anyway, my SS LE was the only one there for most of the day and really drew a lot of attention. I had my 'stuff' with the car along with the 'vote for me' dash sign, but I think most people thought the car was part of the Tour. It fit right in next to the '02 Brickyard Pace Car that really is part of the Tour. I found a shady spot about 30 feet back from the car and just sat there and watched the people. It was great!
This was a highlight of my automotive experience so far and I just had to share it with the group. I'll post some pictures when they get developed.
