I knew this day was coming for quite some time now I just tryed to ignore it. Unfortunately due to a finacial hardship in my home I will need to sell the SS. I had to choose between life and having a roof over my head or having something that was materialistic. So this is it....
Everyone who was at BG saw my car and that will be the last time I have it at a big show and that is why BG will forever be etched in my mind. Becuase without the camaro I would have never met such a great bunch of people and will never forget each and everyone of you that I met there.
I sit here in a puddle of tears because this car has brought me so many good things and I remember them all. I am sure that each of you know what i am going through I feel like I am losing a child but on the other hand i will not let my SS go to just anyone. I hope the next person who gets behind the wheel will take pride in what they are driving just like I have for the past year.
anyone who might be interested in the SS please let me know.
my signature says it all
I am asking $ 27,000 for it
thanks for making my life a little more special!

Sorry to hear, but I think the friends you made will be with you always now and that is worth more than the 27K!! Hang in there, head up, hopefully, things will change for you and you will be able to get another. You have become rich in friendship, try to hold on to that. Even I who have never met you, feel a bond and surely hope that things turn around for you!! Best of luck!!

I'm sorry to hear this!!! Wow.. after seeing you at Bowling Green and the super enthusiasm and fun person you are.. and most importantly how much time you have put into that car... this is a crazy low blow.. ...very sad... Remember though, as you go through life, the riches you reap are the friendships you make along the way. As you go through this sad time, stay close with your friends, ...those of days past and present. Such as our trip to Bowling Green, ...life is a journey, and above anything else is especially enjoyed with your friends. ...keep your head up, we're here for you...

I got to thinkin about..Hudson Valley Camaro original members Jack and John..Jack used to have a 68 Z28 and sold it for a Z06 Vette and we still hang out with him...Worse than that John went and bought a Mustang convertible and then turned his Z28 into a bunch of parts . Hard to swallow that but we still love him...What I'm trying to say is...You'll still be loved for your passion in our shared interests....I know thats gonna be subject to alot of interpretation on here...LOL Posts: 191 | From: Hudson Valley New York | Registered: Sep 2002

I'm sorry to hear that. It seems pretty obvious from your posts that you really love your car. I hope it all works out for the best. If it helps, there is a old saying I use from time to time: "you can live in a car, but you cannot drive a house."

Hey Erin, i'm really sorry for what you're going to have to do and sell the SS. I know for all of us here it's a big love of ours. Whether you have it or not, you'll still have your friends you've made here and at the shows. I think anyone will agree here that it's more to have a roof over your head than having a car. As John said, cars come and go, but the love for them, as well as the friends stay forever! Good luck selling the SS....
P.S. It was a pleasure meeting you in Carlisle on your way to B.G. however brief it might have been. Hope to see you again somewhere!

Erin, Iam sorry to hear that things are not going well with you. I know it must be hard to part with your car. But some day you might get another. I count you as one of my freinds, that I would not have meet if not for our cars. Cars come and go, but freinds are forever. I have lost two wives in my lifetime,so I know how rough things can get. Keep faith in GOD and things will get better. He has done this for me. It was nice seeing you at BG. Stay in touch with your freinds, as this is the best medicine for you.

I'm very sorry to hear that you feel you need to sell your SS. I made the same decision myself a couple of weeks ago. I parted with my SS because it had become my daily transportation (not the situation when I bought it almost two years ago), and I could not run this car through a New England winter. For that and many other reasons, it became the right, if not preferable, thing to do. I loved that car and everything about owning it. Like you, I've been honored to meet and befriend some of the best people ever. That's the most significant thing I'll take away from my experiences with this car. It's the people so much more than the machine. I hope to be owning a Gen 5 Camaro in a few years when I pay off the car that replaced my SS. In the meantime, I hope folks won't mind if I drop in from time to time to say hi.

Erin, although I am just a newbie, it's going to seem like something is missing without your colorful SS being part of it. I know you probably do not want to dwell on the topic, but I thought I would just tell you I was saddened by your news.

Really??? You have friends? Will they admit it? Just kidding, it is great to have met you Andy and I know we will remain friends for a long time.
See Erin, we are still good to Andy and will love you too. I am really sorry for both of you that "have" to sell you car. I am still trying to sell the Z06 too. As much as I would love to keep it. We must all keep our heads up! Things will improve if we stay positive and make them improve!

well let me give you a small little inside note about the SS and what it has done for me in the past yr.
on August 5, 2001 I sold my 1994 Corvette to order the 2002 SS. i waited until october 6th to get the SS, this was not the original one i ordered the one i ordered came in January becuase they lost it on the train rails somewhere between st therese and NJ. I had a very bad yr previous to buying the SS, i had lost my grandmother who was so dear to me and she loved watching me enjoy the cars i have owned and i also called off my wedding and that is the reason why i purchased the SS. so with that in jan. i put the car away until march when i drove it as my everyday vehicle. sometime after that im not sure when i joined the chirpthird board hoping to met great people like yourselves who shared a common interest...the camaro SS.... i started to chat with you all on the boards about different things to our families, cars, life whatever came up! In April 2002 NateSS came for a visit and I got to talking to Joey Red and steve and teri ralph and a few others, In May everyone met at the Bear mtn cruise where i met joey tuccillo face to face, rich luse, gino, kevin, aj, chris, tom and a few others. every weds night we would met up and hang out and of course joey would tell stories and make us all laugh uncontrolably! (thanks Joey) months went by we all became great friends then we got closer to BG and the event just came together. keep in mind now for almost 2 yrs i have been going to car shows and never had a boyfriend....i wasnt looking for one either becuase i am so dedicated to my schoolwork and the car.....at BG i met the most wonderful people in the world and i am glad cause each and everyone of you will be my friend. ok ill address this now since we havent really discussed it online but everyone who was at BG saw a romance budding.......yes AJ(ttopss) and I are involved! i would thank Scott for making a great 4th gen that i truely have loved driving and to joey for introducing me to AJ! Without all of you things in my life wouldnt be brighter and i wouldnt have learned so many things about the wonderful car we all know as THE CAMARO SS!

Are you sure it wasn't Gino's fault?
Good luck in the future.
LOL!! I just pissed my pants. You beat me to it ! Erin, no matter what, there is light at the end of the tunnel. Life is full of highs and lows. You have to hold on to the things that are positive in your life to get you through this. Down the road you will get another SS. Keep your chin up.

I am in San Francisco this weekend on business, but it is probably my fault like everyone says. I just want to say that me and everyone on this board close to you still have an SS so when you feel like you need to go for a ride or hear the LM just feel free to call us up! My keys are your keys......we are all a family.....once a member always a member.
I send you many condolences but just know we are here.
