Has anyone put 315/35/17's on their Camaro, and if so which tires do you suggest. I have a 1997 Camaro SS and was wondering if that size of tire will fit on the rim, and not be obstructed by anything in the wheelwell

Probably better to ask in the General Discussion forum. This one is really for questions about SSOA memberships.
I am pretty sure that you will have to message your wheel wells to get 315's to fit. I know others have done it but not sure what was involved. For what it's worth, I did try to take my 295 40ZR18's from my Z06 and put them on the back of the SS. They the inner wheel well.

Yes it can be done, but the factory 17's will not work. Either buy new aftermarket wheels or have yours widened withless backspacing.

Ok, with my factory 17" rims what's the biggest tire I can go with. I have the original white SS rims so I don't want to change or widen them, but i'd like a wider tire than my 275/40/17 that's on it now. Also any suggestions on a tire?

BF Goodrich G/Force KD's, in the same size, 275/40-17 are about an inch wider than the Goodyear F1's that came stock on the SS. They also provide significant rim protection.

My tires are the BF goodrich Comp T/A's. It's not looking good that i'll be able to fit 315's on, but I have an article in a camaro magazine that said I could. Maybe they were talking about aftermarket rims. It would look really good if I knew someone had gotten them to fit!
