i managed to tackle the bedroom closet.....

the other day i was talking to a friend and she mentioned that she has a girlfriend who is going through a rough time and has no money to buy things for herself....so i was already going to go through all my clothing and donate it to my various friends i know!

instead i donated 4 LARGE Garbage bags...like the size u use for outside garbage pickup....filled with clothing to her friend!

the other 4 bags i am going to visit my friends and donate the clothing to them....i have way too many clothes and it makes me feel good that i am helping someone else feel better and look better!

i wish i knew of some others that could use clothing!

dosent it make u feel good when u can do that for someone else?

p.s. i still have no room in my walk-in for the clothing i have left!

That was a nice thing to do! [Smile] We donate clothes once a year. Better than a garage sale.

just to give you a better idea the size of the closet its about 5 ft wide by 10 feet long and lined from top to bottom with closet organizers!

p.s. dan i thought about selling a whole bunch of stuff to get some cash together to save the SS but i dont know if that will work very well...plus i cant have a garage sale in my town they dont allow them...they have a huge garage sale at the high school every yr during the summer and thats all they allow!

Erin, I wasn't really serious with that remark. I think it is great that ou are donating them. Remember to get some sort of receipt, it is tax deductible. (I give away clothes many times a year). It is a wonderful way to help others.
