I've been debating putting stripes on my SS, for the past couple of years (something similar to the Berger stripes, but unique). I wanted them painted on, but was having trouble finding a local 'quality' shop to do the work. Well I found one - Legendary Motorcars from Speed Channel's Dream Car Garage. As it turns out, their restoration shop is about a half hour drive away from my place. They will be trailering the SS to their shop and then we'll work out the details of the stripes, style, color, etc.. I've seen the quality of their work, and it's first rate. It should be interesting to see what we come up with.
I'll keep everyone up to date on our progress.
Any suggestions on what color of stripe I should go with on the black SS?

I'm into subtle so I would go with "ghost stripes" in a silver or grey pearl ... hood/trunk and hockey stick stripes.

John, maybe they will do a show about your SS being painted! That would be cool. Ghost stripes would be very cool like Ralph and Mary's black SS has. Speaking of tv shows, did Motoring 2003 ever do that story about the Camaro? Posts: 5682 | From: Dearborn,Mi. | Registered: Feb 2002

Wouldn't that be slick. They have a 35th anniversary Camaro on display in their showroom. We're going to use it as a baseline and customize from there.

I haven't seen anything yet. I had heard that they were going to use some footage from the OCC Nationals sometime in the Spring.
