Got a call from the National Corvette Museum concerning the 2003 gathering. As you may recall, we were set to have the gathering the weekend of Sept 27....however, it has come to the attention of the NCM that BeechBend Track would not be available to us -- and as most of you know, Drag Racing and Autocross is a big part of the gathering.
Thus....the Corvette Museum has moved their schedule around and the 3rd Annual Fbody Gathering will be the weekend
of SEPTEMBER 19-21, 2003.
So...if you would please add those dates to your calendars -- and update your club registers, I'd be grateful!
Sure hope to see you all there! (1,000 cars -- I quit smoking!!!)

I was at the first one in 2001, missed the 2002 event due to health, I'll be at the 2003 event if it kills me.
Wonder if there will be SSOA Thursday again???

There's a lot of historical sites within cruising distance (for the history buffs), e.g. Abe Lincoln's birthplace + many civil war sites.

Looks like we'll be celebrating our Anniversary on the way back home again.
Let's find out who would like to be in charge of getting a block of rooms for the SSOA and get in on the group rate. (Any volunteers? It has to be someone who will follow it through and be there for sure.)

If there is, what would folks like to do? Thoughts that have crossed my mind are:
Corvette plant tour for the first-timers
Scenic tour ... possibly to Mamouth Caves
Dinner
Go Karts to me are a non-negotiable "must do".
\ Clean up the cars, cruise, dinner then go-carts. There's a plan!!!!!
I like that idea! Do a meeting/introduction at the NCM grounds, then the drive, stop at dinner, then do the go-carts! Non stop, no breaks in-between, so we all stay together!

I had suggested to Teri a get together where we could meet with introductions, show the cars and maybe arrange a "showcase" of mods - so we could hear different exhausts, see different brake setups, and other mods and add ons that many of us are interested in or trying to decide on would be a good way to kick it off. Then a scenic tour, dinner, go karts?

I agree. With all the events going on, Karen and I only met a handful of members. A reception where everyone has the time to meet and talk would be great. Ideally it should something a little more formal than beers in the hotel parking lot at the end of the day - it's too dark to get a good look at the cars. How about an SSOA show & shine day with a cruise & dinner (and go carts) afterwards?

I'll work on maps again and mail out KY State maps to anyone that wants one. I'll also go down to Bowling Green and do any test runs for directions and maps.
Everyone just let me know what they'd like to see added to the maps from this year and for new maps.
