I have been thinking on replacing the intake manifold on my 99 SS with the Z06 intake. Is there a mod that you are aware of to do away with the
EGR valve so it won't set the "service engine soon"light?

Ken, you can install the intake, eliminate the egr valve, and then reflash the pcm with LS1 edit to change the parameters for the egr test. I will doing the same thing on the ls1 I am putting in my 68, but then I dont have emissions requirements. you should still be able to get by ok though.

Ken, there is no block-off plate that I know of. You will just have to make a plate (out of 1/4 steel) and bolt it in place. Or have somebody make one for you. When I get to that point, if you still dont have one, I will make one for you too.

You can buy the block off plates already pre-cut from some vendors. I know Thunder racing sells them. Go here and got to exhaust accessories..
