Everyone, I've got a 93-02 GM Camaro-only parts book if anyone is in need of GM part numbers, etc. I'm sure some of you out there have some parts books too, or rely on your friendly neighborhood GM parts department, but I'm willing to look up parts in the off-hours of your parts department if you have any questions. Keep in mind, it's a late 2001 book, written in typical GM style (meaning some messups here and there) so updates since then I don't have. But it's some light reading, such as rebuilt LS1 engines. Also learned from the book that if you buy a new leather steering wheel with the radio control option, it comes complete with the buttons and horn wiring for around $340 give or take. You just need an air bag to complete it (your old one, or a new one- that's another $500 or so).
Did verify the 01-02 Clutch/flywheel assembly is a different part number than earlier versions, but not sure if it is actually the LS6 clutch. Also, if you're doing bolt in SFCs and need to trim your fuel line shroud, a new one only costs less than $5 list price.
I am familiar with how the GM parts books are set up, so it shouldn't take too long to find the specific part # you may need.

Oh, that disclaimer is already in there. I'm not offering absolute prices either, only ballparks, but I did find out more information on superceded part numbers. Apparently, some part numbers remain the same for YEARS because the same company makes the same part by the same design.
And some, including '02 parts already, change. The parts manager at the GM dealership told me that if the part design specs change, or if they outsource production of the part to another company, even though it's the same exact part, it gets a new number. So in today's economy, I forsee a lot of part number changes. But at least it'll be enough to get started, as your GM parts dude/dudette will know if a part number is superceded or discontinued, etc.
