For those of you who have them, keep them. For those of you who want them, but don't have them, keep looking for deals. I bought a new one for a little over $100 because it was there and the price was right (I already knew they were expensive). But piddling around in the parts book, I found this startling discovery. I didn't think they were this high. Wow.

#10311537, 35th Anniversary Camaro Rear Deck Mat
Current List price $643.91
Delivered outside of NC by GMPartsdirect.com: $440.44
[Eek!] [Eek!]

Yep, I too was going to buy one but I figured even buying at cost (which I can do) it still was something like 350. I figured there are a lot of better ways to spend the dough. I picked up a mint one off of ebay for 150.... that was a good buy!

That price sounds like it is for the Trophy Mat from GM not the deck mat. My Trophy Mat was stolen along with my 35th Anniversary logoed SLP car cover before I owned my car. I got a price of $599.14 from the local Chevy dealer for that Trophy Mat.

That's the mat I was talking about. It's the only 35th mat you can buy through GM. And even at dealer cost, like around what MM quoted, you can buy 2+ customized SLP deck mats. Call it a trophy mat or deck mat, either way, it sits behind the rear seat of mine.

I guess some people don't want them with their car or sell the car without the mat and get rid of it. Since it comes with the LE car (ok, it was SUPPOSED to), they don't realize the replacement cost, and sell it for dirt, like I got mine.

This reminds me of the OLD days when people would think nothing of giving or throwing away parts like that "stupid" cowl induction air cleaner from a first gen, etc. only later when the subsequent owners try to find that part they are willing to pay big bucks for it.

According to the Fbodfather, that is a special vynyl and should not curl. Is yours in the hot sun often? I only use my trophy mat at car shows. It does not lay perfectly flat as seen in the picture above, but never had gotten any worse.

On mine one end has a slight curl..... but thats because the dumb bloke shoved it in a box that was too small. I have a SLP 35th mat that I keep in the car. The real LE mat doesn't leave the house..... [Wink]

Thanks for the tip about being stolen. I'll remove it from the car before I take it for another ride. I'll only use it for car shows. Didn't realize they're so valuable.

Maybe I better re-think our approach, as we have our LE mat in everyday and our SLP optional floor and hatch mat only in for shows.. maybe the LE mat should go in storage and the SLP mat should be everyday?
