After not starting the SS after a month? Could it be due to the cold temp? Thanks a million!

I'd say this is more likely.
A month of sitting is not usually long enough for a battery to die. Although with the recent cold snap we had during that time, it's a maybe. As for the tires, not normally,it depends on their condition. Did they have slash marks? Posts: 1632 | From: Rindge NH, formerly Boylston MA | Registered: Feb 2000

Mine sat for 2 months and had to be jumped. Then I drove it for a couple days then it sat for 3-4 weeks and it had to be jumped again.

Theres a little trick you can do to find out if something is drawing current while sitting. Disconnect the lead to the battery and insert a test light or voltage meter between the battery and the terminal cable end. If you see a light, something is pulling juice. I have been advised to keep a battery tender on mine for winter storage. Got no clue about the tires. Do you normally run the back with lower pressure?

Check for tracks leading to and from the garage....
Actually I had this problem with my impala, had the tires broken down, rim cleaned at the seal, and a thin film of rim sealer applied and it fixed it. It only happened with cold temperatures.

Your tires may have not had the proper inflation in the warm weather and will drop pressure in the cold weather. I never had the battery go deal in 1 month of sitting even if I did not start up the car at all. The battery should be good for 2 months of sitting.
