This a great group. I really like the name of back porch because it really signifies what it feels like here. Just like we are hangin on the porch telling stories. Good friends!! I am thankful to you J.R. for having us and hosting us!

Well Teri came up with Back Porch.. not sure of the idea or origin of the term but she asked we switch it.. and it sure is fitting.

Yup....the "Back Porch" just kind of popped into my head one day. It's a place that anyone is welcome to come grab a cold beverage, pull up a chair, and sit to chat about the stuff that friends like to hang around and talk about. It's the same feeling we have when we meet up at events, just hang out and enjoy everyone's company.

I also agree with this being back porch is a great title, its a place people can just gather and keep up with the times and maintain contact when distances would normally limit such interactions between us all...Thanks to everyone for making this a great place. Al

Sure, it's great that I didn't have to work for a year, so I got to hang here and yak. Also, I dont' post much on any other board, so this one gets my attention. I am working now and can't visit all the boards. I post on the others when I can but I am here a lot.
