How do I attach digital pictures to my post or signature area? I'm an internet novice.

You're going to have to upload the pictures to someplace. After that, where ever you are going to insert the pic, you use the picture's web address. Forexample, once you get the pic uploaded, right click on it and go to properties. That's one way to get the address.
If your'e inserting the pic into a post like this, go below and click on "image". Put the the addres of the pic in there and you're set. Make any sense? If you have any other questions feel free to ask.

This is the one of the other Harrisburg SS owners....
I have been trying to figure this out also... where can I post it if I don't have my own site?
Thanks Ron

How ya doing! Well, I use my Penn State account to upload pictures, but I also found that if you have a Hotmail account, there is a section in MSN that you can upload pictures in an 'album.' If you already have an account and signed in, go to "My MSN" and then on the left go to "Groups" And I beleive you create an album in there. I was using that to upload pics and post before I realized my penn state account was easier. The link to the pics in MSN will be very long. If anyone else knows a place to upload, let us know!!

Here is a link that I think you can use from MSN. I think this was what I was talking about MSN PhotosPosts: 2651 | From: Enola (Harrisburg Area), Pennsylvania | Registered: Jan 2002

Thanks for the info... I was able to upload a couple of pictures, but couldn't figure out how to successfully post them here. I tried using the URL and Image options in the "Post A Reply" screen to no avail. I ran out of time and will try again tomorrow... hopefully.

...Dan is correct in his explanation... Basically you'll need a place to 'store' your image(s). Most online service providers offer 'space' with your account, ...that's where I put mine. Once you have your images 'stored' , ...you need to reference the location, ...and I believe it is case sensitive). For example, ...if I store a picture at http://www.frontiernet.net/~kevink7/HVC/2001ssa.jpg ...then I'd just need that address to reference the pic. The image is part of this post, since I clicked on "IMAGE" below (when typing this post) and the UBB codes were added to the string of text.
If I wanted text to refer to the picture, ...such as Here's the picture , ...I would click on "URL" (when typing this post).
Anyway, ...hope that helps some. If not, ...there are others that know this stuff even better than I, ...trust me.
Kevin

Needs a bit of refinement on sizing but works just the way you said. Thanks for clearing that up. Posts: 94 | From: Portland, Oregon USA | Registered: Nov 2002

Just copy the URL from the pics properties and paste it in the reply by clicking image and paste. This is the URL for the pic below: http://thumbs.webshots.com/sym/na1/8/23/43/30782343tVGBbYOYzC_th.jpg (Right click on the pic of your sweet ride, click properties and there it is.)
From your site!

What I did was from the MSN sight... I right clicked on the enlarged version of the photo, clicked on properties, then copied the URL listed. TAKE NOTE... the reason why I couldn't post at first was because I wasn't copying the whole address. I didn't realize that when highlighting the URL, that I had to drag the mouse down to get the whole address.
Once I figured that our... it was just a matter of copying and pasting into the post a reply page AFTER clicking on the Image icon.
Hopefully this helps.... let us know how you are making out... I am sure we can help you get squared away.
This is the SS just before pulling it out of the garage for the photo above.
Better shot coming once the snow melts more and I can drive it to a more open area.

Try Village Photos I've heard they work, and I guess they are similar to webshots. I use my Penn State account so that wont help you much, unless you just need your avatar hosted, I can do that for you. Let me know
