That sounds like a plan. I think they'd appreciate any support.

yeah it really is a good idea...the other thing is i make no money off these sales becuase they are priced at our cost to keep the packages cost down for the buyers and we can give more products to the soldiers. it makes me feel better that i can help them in this small way and dont feel guilty that i am making money off them!
...so please let me know on here if u guys are interested and i will make sure i fill out an order form for ur pkg. also if u are going to send a check or money order enclose a note on a nice piece of paper to a soldier. i will add it inside the little bags to send to the soldiers. I think this is a really good way to show them we are thinking of them, plus these items are things they really can use!

A local radio station is doing the same thing here so I'll be sending throuhg them. They also cautioned do not send any notes with your name or address or email address on it. No powders of any type, lots of tooth brushes, tooth paste, lip balm, sample sizes of soaps and shampoos, no aerosol cans.
The items are to packed into clear Zip Lock bags, one item per bag, and the items are not to be in boxes or containers - ie.- tooth paste tubes only, not in the carton.

The radio station just had a bulletin, from the Pentagon - care packages for the military will not be accepted at this time. They request that people not send any items to military personel over seas. Posts: 5558 | From: Windsor, Ontario. Canada | Registered: Feb 2000

My brother is in the Army at Ft. Bragg, NC (he can't tell us what he does) and many of the people he works with have been deployed. I know they could all use a boost for their morale.

yes they are only accepting care pkgs from the certain approved places. The american red cross who i am doing this with is one of the programs so make sure u find out if the money u are sending is going to get to the soldiers. I have asked my customers who are donating just to say things like..."were thinking of you...the jones" "you will be thought of everyday.....the smiths" "keep the faith my friends....the martins"
things like that...nothing with first names or addresses!
so like i said if anyone is interested i have pkgs left to donate. i started with 50 and they went pretty fast but i have 9 left to donate and i thought maybe that you guys would like to help out. Just a thought!
