I am finally part of the family...no, not the Fbodfather's famillia...but of General Motors Corporation. I was hired into Powertrain as a Fuel and Catalyst Calibration Specialist last Monday! When I went to school to become an engineer, this is what I dreamed of. And now, eight years later, here I am. I will say that, after working with and meeting so many GM employees (including Scott), I realized that there was something behind their passion. Hopefully I can add to it!
On a side note...after being taunted by my 35thLE Brickyard, I decided to get tickets to the August Brickyard 400 (since she has been there, and I have not). Anybody else going?

Congrats on the new job! I have never been to the Brickyard 400 NASCAR event but did drive a 1974 Monte Carlo around the Brickyard back in the 80's.Pretty flat track. That should be a good event to attend. Posts: 5682 | From: Dearborn,Mi. | Registered: Feb 2002

Congrats on your new job! Glad it's a job you were looking for. Most people these days rarely get to work what they always dream of. Hopefully in another year or so I'll follow suit as you land a job I love (except in the Finance field). Way to go! Posts: 2651 | From: Enola (Harrisburg Area), Pennsylvania | Registered: Jan 2002

Thanks everyone for the congratulations. As always, I look forward to meeting all of you (especially you that are close to "the D"). I live in the northeast suburbs...about 2 miles northwest from where Scott lives if you know where that is.
