Walking up to the truck it looks impressive. The faux front brake cooling ducts are kinda cool, although the brakes look dinky behind the massive 20" wheels.
I hopped into the truck and admired the white face guages with Trans Temp gauge mind you. Very nice. The front seats are embroidered with the SS logo on the head rest and a nice SS logo on the dash as well.
I started the truck up. No real rumble that you might expect, on other words a little too quiet.
I backed it out and pulled it onto the street. And got the truck rolling and punched it, throaty roar but not throaty enough and it pulled very nice. Not like sheer raw hp/tq power that a F-body or C5 might have, but nice power for the size and weight. Torque is what we are talking here folks.
I slammed the brakes and it stopped very nicely.
All other features are Silverado so nothing too spectacular.
Anyway, thats it. Thought I would share.

Started it up, punched it, and then slammed on the brakes. Yep, just like they say in the manual for proper break-in. Posts: 192 | From: Evansville, IN | Registered: Dec 2001

I was shocked that we even drove it. I was given strict instructions to have cleaned for the showroom. Next thing I know the Salesmanagers are going for a spin. They come back and they tell me they want me to drive it. I said ok. Took the new kid with me.
What was funny was he put his head back against the headrest and said punch it! I didn't know he had done this and as I was accelerating I looked over and said "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!?!Its not THAT fast." hhahahaa...
