I installed SLP long tube headers and didnt get one of the plug wires back on good. "Check Engine Soon" light came on and car was missing. Located the loose plug wire and pushed wire on good and tight. Car not missing now, but "check engine" light still is on. I have run the car for about 10-15 miles on at least four different days, and the light is still on. Do I need to do something, or will it eventially go off? thanks for any suggestions

Reset the computer by pulling the "ECM" fuse (under the hood) with the key on the run position for 15 seconds.

Yoy may also want to scan the code (autozone does it for free) before you reset to see what it is.

Auto Zone doesnt scan codes in california any more, because too many techs complained that it took too much money away from them, and that we were not qualified to accurately read the code. Posts: 237 | From: Yorba Linda California | Registered: Aug 2002
