Today when I get home, the 1997 30th Anniversary Z28 may be gone. My son got an offer yesterday and the people want to meet my wife at the bank with the title. I really would hate to see this car go,but I also have no room to store it in a garage any longer. [Frown] On the bright side,I will now have some cash to sell the Ranger and get me a newer Chevy truck. [Smile] Hard to imagine that 3 years to the day we bought that 30th Anniversary and sold it.It was only driven 9,000 miles in 3 years. I guess my son really did not need it.

Sorry to see it go, a good friend of mine has a Z28 just like it and I liked seeing the pics of yours showing how well it is taken care of...my friend loves his, but he just drives it and its driven very hard, sees alot of abuse and runs like new still...he bought his 4 years ago and doesnt drive in winter, but it has spent its life outdoors and it doesnt see many washes...it still looks good esp when we park side by side in town, we get alot of attn...Camaro's are rare sights here, only a couple are SS...Firebirds are lil more popular, about 6 WS6 I see all the time, dealers never carried them here, local Chevy dealer might of got one a year...I get asked about mine alot, prob more if I dared to take it places, never have I gone to mall with it or any store for that matter unless it is a gas station conv store.

The 35th still has an older brother to share the garage...the 1979 Berlinetta that is getting that LS6 454 installed real soon.Maybe the Berlinetta can give the SS a point or two on what fast is all about. [Big Grin]

Yes, 2nd gens can teach the younger ones about speed. 2nd gens with big rats are awesome. The cars will do just fine together.

They have a lot in common...they are both red with 17" wheels and are fully loaded. [Big Grin]

Hey Greg, can't you keep the Z28 & give your son away instead? Maybe convert his bedroom to a garage to store the '97. [Big Grin] [Big Grin] j/k

That would be a great idea! [Big Grin] I bet the wife would not go for that. Update,my wife just called and said that she helped put the extra set of 30th Anniversary wheels and tires into the back of the girls truck. She helped take the t-tops off and the new owner left with the biggest smile! Greg,
dropped you a line over at hoodscoop. I'd like a chance to gather what remaining material you have on the 30th for the SS. 30th mats..etc.

Thanks,
Glenn

The Arctic White leather with Houndstooth cloth was the standard equipment interior for a 30th. If does not seem to hold up as good and is not as easy to keep clean as the optional all leather seat covers. [Smile]
