Okay, posted this on all the other boards, no luck. But I know da family will come through for me [Big Grin]

Looking for the part numbers for the painted 10-spoke center caps for the SS and also the lug cap covers that go along with them. Gonna try and order them on gmpartsdirect

Thanks a bunch in advance!

They are pretty expensive on there, unless thats how much gm will have them for as well....if that's the case, i'll try and get new ones under warranty. the ones i have now got yellowed around the lugnuts and the bowtie came off....the ones i'm going to have clearcoated.

Thanks though!

I posted the GM part numbers on SLP site for you, but as someone else pointed out, SLP has them for $35 for set of 4. If that's not a typo on their site, then that's a heckuva deal since GM lists them for almost 25 each. The lugnut package with dark silver that SLP has, well, I'm not sure if it's exactly the match to the GM lug covers or not, but SLP's are much less expensive. I haven't seen them personally.

Thanks. I did get your message over there on SLP. That is a pretty good deal if they are $35 for 4. I guess I need to break down and call them sometime. I did price the center caps on gmpartsdirect and tehy were I think $13.xx. Hopefully I'll make out better at SLP. (Haha, maybe thats a joke).

I'll keep ya posted about the prices.I'm trying to get my car HALF decent for the Carlisle show, even though my car wont be judged.

Thanks!

You mentioned warranty. Try for this even if you decide to buy a set of caps. This way you can have some extras if you ever need them.

Yah, the dealer I bought my car I dont care for much, and this seems like such a minor thing. Are you abel to make warranty claims at a different dealer?

Anyways, if you read on SLP, the $35 DOES include all 4 center caps. They are on www.slponline.com part number 80001 there. You can get teh caps there as well for $20 and also includes steel lugnuts (which i dont need).

You can take your SS to any Chevrolet dealer for Warranty work.

Thanks Teri. That's what I thought. Since Gm just reimburses that particular dealer. [Smile]
