No matter what is done with American cars they always get slammed especially GM Models. Everyone it seems always say that the imports are better looking well I totally disagree. For me its the other way around and we need to get more people buying American and putting Americans back to work.

I love the PT cruiser (just needs more engine), and hate the caddy, and the assztek. I do like the looks of the 99 and newer mustang however.
I agree with you though, most magazines tend to favor the imported cars, and most americans (for some unknown reason), tend to think that if it is made elsewhere, especially Europe, then its better. Whats up with that?
Each to their own, I guess.

Don't agree with the Monte but do agree with the Astek. Fron what I hear you can get the Avalanche without all the garbage on the side.

My son drove the new Bimmer 745 last week. It may be butt-ugly, but he said it's one awesome car to drive. Posts: 2359 | From: Waterloo, Ontario, Canada | Registered: Jul 2001

The PT Cruiser is getting more power this year so that should appeal to more buyers Steve.
I tend to think that the Automotive Magazines are very biased when it comes to cars. All those years the imports did have a quality advantage but the American Automakers have made leaps and bounds of improvements over the years but still they get slammed. I just can't figure it out. Think its time the USA taxed these imports like ours are in their countries and make them meet stringent safety standards as well like ours are put through. Just my opinion but we need more Americans working with good jobs not low paying ones.

I agree - PT Cruiser +, Mustang +, Monte +
Bimmer - What were they thinking?, Caddy - Jeesh, Aztec - nuff said, Avalnche - OMG, etc.
What ever happened to form follows function?
BTW, this was meant to be a fun post, not to raz on anyones taste or preferences.
