I've installed a fire extinguisher and first aid kit to the SS. I didn't want to drill holes, so I used adhesive-backed velcro. It seems to be holding.

Now all you need is an extending ladder and you could rescue Kitties! Looks good! Posts: 343 | From: Castle Rock, CO | Registered: Jun 2002

Looks good John. I was just checking out some of the pictures of your SS. You've done a really nice job on it, and I love the stripes.
I was thinking about the fire extinguisher. In the event of an accident, do you think it could become a projectile? I don't blame you for not wanting to drill holes, but it might be something to consider.

I was thinking the same thing, when I was mounting the extinquisher, but it should be okay. The extinquisher is mounted in a bracket (used for wall mounting) and I've got the bracket mounted to the SS side panel with heavy duty velcro. It takes quite a bit of force to remove extinquisher, and being in the trunk it's isolated from the passenger area.
