My son was driving home from a tire store while sitting at a stop light he was rear ended by a drunk! He managed to get the guy to pull over into a party store parking lot where the same drunk ran into the side of the building. My son was so p'd off the guy would not come out of the car or exchange any information. My son called the cops and the drunk offered him $100 to not call them. The drunk took off a few minutes later just after my son was looking at his plate # and giving it to the cops.He called the cops again and let them know that the drunk had took off. By the time I had arrived at the scene my sone was leaving the parking lot. 2 cop cars were looking for the drunk. The cop said that 10 minutes prior the same guy had hit and run from another accident with a car. They were not pleased that he also hit that store.I hope they find his sorry a** and make his insurance company pay for everything and put him in jail.

Damage is not real bad.Bump the right 1/4 panel and pull it away from the tailgate.2 small wripples in each 1/4 panel. Ryan said that the left front corner of the Ford Contour that hit him was really smashed. The right front of the Contour was smashed from the other hit and run accident and from when he hit the wall of the store. Similar thing happend to me about 7 years ago with another car i had. the A$$ took off and i chased him down. i was not about to try and just get a plate # or partial plate #. he slowed down and stopped about 7-8 blocks away from the accident when he saw i was chasing him. said he was looking for a good place to pull over. yeah right. Greg I am very sorry to hear about the accident and am glad your son is okay. I can understand how po'd he was as I had a kid run into my Blazer back in 1990 when it was only six months old. He was DUI with his girlfriend in the car. But what ticked me off the most is what he said to me and I quote, " I just put a fender on this car and now look at it." I told him, " You idiot this is a brand new truck you just hit." I was so mad I wanted to tear his head off. Luckily for him some witnesses flagged down the Police. So I know how angry your son must have been.

The damage does not look that bad but he just got a body shop estimate of over $1400 to fix. If my son gets the money from the drunk's insurance company,I told him we will fix it ourselves and he can pocket the difference for mods on the 1979 Camaro. Way to go Greg. That is an excellent idea. I hope that drunk got locked up for a while so that he can't do anymore damage. There is no excuse to be drinking and operating a vehicle. To many innocent people get hurt and killed because of it.

Glad to hear that your son is O.K. The State of Ohio started a massive DUI bust last night. 100s of check points checking for drunks. They plan on doing it for several weeks.
Let us know how it goes,
