Hi everyone. I haven't been aroung lately. Hope you're all well and enjoying the summer.
Lots going on here including busy at work. Well my girlfriend and I bought a new house and moved last week. That was complicated by the emergency eye surgery I had two weeks ago for a detached retina. The surgery went well, but I won't know for about 3 months how well the sight returns in that eye. For now I'm not supposed to do any lifting or straining. I'm spending a couple hours a day at work the past few days to try and get some stuff done. Anyway, I just wanted to say hi to all my friends here and let you know I'm still alive . I'll try and stop by here a little more often to say hi and see whats going on.

Hope you are feeling better Sideshow and everything goes well. With medical procedures today and the advancements being made everyday I am sure your sight will be good as new.
Take care and congrats on the house.

Hope that eye heals well. That's scary stuff to mess with.
My little brother went through laser surgery for a detached retina when he was on the receiving end of an egg that was thrown at him on Halloween many years ago. Someone threw it from a passing vehicle and was never caught for the crime (Jerry was just walking down the street w/friends). It tore his retina and he was given a 50/50 shot at keeping the eye. Fortunately the surgery worked, and his eyesight is fine.
Hope all is well with you otherwise...congrats on the house!

Glad to have you back on board Bob...Steve floated a post a while back asking where you disappeared to. Sorry to hear about your eye...having something mess with your vision that much has to be scary.
Good luck with a speedy recovery, Cy

Thanks for all the wishes everyone. It's really nice to hear from everyone. It's frustrating with the vision right now because it's such a slow healing process and I don't see much progress day to day....just poor blurry vision for now. It's only been 3 weeks now since the surgery, so I just have to remain patient. Dealing with headaches sometimes, but nothing that Tylenol hasn't been able to handle. I'll keep in touch.
