After much research and thought, I went out on a limb and bought a new model of tires for Eve. At 25.5K miles, I thought I had done fairly well at not burning the tread off after a year and a half.

Goodyear has a relatively new model out which I'm sure most of you already know of, the F1 GS D3, which I bought on Tire Rack at $185 a tire with a $60 rebate.

The tread is the sweetest pattern I think I've seen and believe it or not I was able to wrap them in 60 gallon trash bags and fit them all in the SS and drive them to be mounted. (The wonderful fragrance of the new rubber lasted for a couple of days....who needs air fresheners when you have new rubber!)

I picked her up and immediately noticed a huge difference. The body roll was almost non-existant (she's stock, no stabilizers of any kind), and of course it was raining when I picked her up, let me tell you, these things rock in the rain. I couldn't even hear the water being flung into the wheel wells, it was like each tire was Moses parting the flood [Eek!] ! She stuck to the ground and it took a very heavy foot to get her loose.

Took her on the freeway on the 3rd to buy fireworks in Alabama as buying in GA is illegal. They are quiet and extremely smooth.

I'll admit I'm pretty young at this car experience thing, but I'm a firm believer in these tires and would highly recommend them.

If anyone has any experience with this model, please let me know what you think, I'd love to hear what others have to say about them.

I haven't had the experience with this GoodYear Tire but have always loved the brand and haven't had any complaints about them at all. GoodYears will always be on all of my vehicles.

Glad you enjoy them. [Big Grin]

Pretty neat looking tire. i have about 26k on my SS too, and i am going to need new tires here shortly. i was thinking of going with the BFGoodrich KDW's. i really like the look of the KD's but it rains here more often than i would like, and i would rather have the traction than just the looks.
