Hello! I just purchased my new SS a week ago yesterday, PayPal'ed my money in today to become a member of SSOA.
I am looking forward to chatting with you all about these great cars. I see there will be a gathering at BG (about 2.5 hours from me)this summer and I plan on going to it as well.

I'm assusming that you can pick up some good deals In sept. at BG? Is this a Camaro only thing? I havent been able to find all the info I'm looking for about the event. (I need to buy some mod stuff! )

The BG event does not have representation from mod suppliers as a rule but you will surely see Camaros and Firebirds with all kinds of mods from which to get ideas and feedback.

Thanks for the great welcome! I am very excited about owning my SS and the great folks i have meet so far! Is there a "chat room" that is used by some of you folks? I spend lots of time behind my monitor and would love to get in the mix with the topic of the day

This is THE place. The Back Porch. Look for the daily "good morning" type post and check in to say hello, give a quick update on personal things, etc. We like to know who is here and lets us know you're o.k.
Many people use instant messengers. The one I like is Trillian because you can monitor several messengers in one place. Look for the free download and give it a try.
Sometimes people list their IM name in their profile, or you can just start a thread and ask people to tell you theirs.
