Well, I thought I would at least share a nice story since many of the stories on here are kills. I personally like reading the "loss" stories more than the "kill" stories.
So, I was coming from Gaithersburg, Md picking up some items and I am kind of putzing along thinking about work. I end up at this stop light right past muddy branch road which will eventually take me onto the highway. I pull up in the far left lane and to my right is a nice White TA WS6. I think it was a WS6, it definitely had the scoop and raised hood louvers; but, it had a different body kit on it ... it seemed pretty damn wide for some reason ...
I don't really look over at him since I am kind of daydreaming in my world and my dog is scratching my arm trying to get my attention.
The light turns green and we turn and the guy gets on it kind of aggressively and I hear him from behind. His exhaust was "the loudest" I have heard in a long time; but, not in a bad way. It had a very deep, guttaral sound to it ... I pull over and he zooms by me ...
I pull onto 270 going normal, this around 8:00 p.m., with light traffic. I think to myself, damn, wish he would have come onto 270 .... and then, lo and behold, I see him coming up fast .... from the local road to merge onto 270 ... I drop it into fourth at around 3500-4000 rpms at 60 mph and I match his on-ramp speed and pull over to the 3rd left lane on 270 to give him plenty of room and it's on. We stay even for about 2 seconds (probably going about 80-100) ... and he starts pulling on me. It's not even funny, I mean, he is walking a good car length per 1/2 second on me. By the time we shut it down, we are around 130 mph ... (guess snow tires are faster than they are rated ... ) ...He was probably 3-4 buslength's in front of me ... it wasn't even close ...
He slows down and we are in the middle lanes of 270 ... and we both nod to each other ... his car, in whatever gear he was in, sounded AWESOME ... he was smiling of course and I was thinking, damnit ... I need to be in hi-boost to stand a chance ... So, we are cruising and he stomps on it and I so do I ... this time, it's even worse than it was before. I started off in 4th gear around 3000-3500 rpm's at 50-55 mph ... and he pulled on me like I slammed on my brakes. He kept walking and walking, and although I should have started in third, I make no excuses ... he would have still walked on me with NO problem. I finally shut it down around 110 mph because he was walking on me continuously ... There was no way unless I had a "ludicrous" speed button (spaceballs for those that care ) ... there was no way ... so I decided to concede and not do a ricer flashby.
Before, the first showdown with the onramp merge... it was around 3-4 buslength's ... from this showdown roll, he was probably a good 6-8 buslength'sahead of me. So, I was absolutely mauled...
Even IF I was on hi-boost, this guy would have still destroyed me, it would have probably been a little closer; but, probably around 2-3 buslength's and not 6-8 ... hehe....
I've run against stock WS6's at the 1/4 track and the best I've seen is around 13.0 with 106 trap speeds (stock). I've run against Z06's ... and I've never had a car walk on me this fast with no problems. Porsche, APR Stage 2.5 S4 running 103 octane, etc ... I've been able to at least keep up with or slightly pull on them ... even the Z06, got beat; but, not this badly on lo-boost.
Perhaps my car is slower now with humidity ... but, damn ..... at lo-boost, this guy just "murdered/massacred" me ... at hi-boost, he probably would have just "killed" me ... I laughed at myself because it was such a beat-down ...
He slowed down for me, and those of you that know Exit 9 from Gaithersburg to the 270/495 split ... we made that in about 3 minutes or so . So, he slows down and we both give each other the thumb's up. I just shake my head and smile at him and we continue on our way. That engine sounded marvelous at WOT ... I wish I could have talked to him ... probably would have told me he's stock
Definitely a cool guy ... and definitely a bad-ass car ... If you see a WS6 around here ... that's white ... just wave and let him go ...
P.S. -- my 2 dogs added a good 40-50 lbs of extra weight, perhaps that can be my handicap
P.P.S. -- at lo-boost, I am at 6.5 lbs. -- 322.7 rwhp and 297 ft*lbs of torque for reference and bench-racing purposes.

However, on the way home this year from Skyline at the told of the Penn Turnpike. I left the same time as BMW M5. We were looking at each other in line and gave each other the thumbs up.
After paying we each crawled away from the booth and then almost at the identical moment we both got on it. We ran dead even first, second & third, then we both backed down, it was fast enough and we were coming up on traffic. It was one nice Beemer though. And, I know I surprised him with the SS.

Good one! Sounds like that M5 driver at least knew what he was doing! I had a run-in a couple of years ago with a (then new) 400 HP M5. This was when I was still stock, except for the 4.10s and a lid. Once from a 20 mph roll, and once from a stoplight. I was in shock because the kill was so easy both times! From the stoplight, the guy told me he forgot to turn off the traction control, and I'm guessing that he must've had it in too high a gear from the roll!
