Don't mind some of the other pictures that are in here of my son's 1979 Camaro and his S-10 SS. They just happened to be on the flash card still. [Smile] I had use of a 2004 Commemorative Edition Corvette convertible and a Yellow Corvette convertible. Nice cars! We used a 4 door Chevy Silverado HD with the Vortec 8100 as a but hauler too. That truck was left idling all day long with the a/c on so we could get out of the hot weather.Click here to view the other pictures

Someone had to clean, install driver name decals and park all of those cars and make sure the correct people were getting into the correct car.My wife actually delivered 8 of the red Corvettes after the race to the new dealer owners. [Smile]

The 2004 Commemorative Edition Corvettes were my favorite. There were only 8 of them and most went to VIP's. [Cool]

Someone needs to clean the streaks off that yellow one. The only "special" paint scheme I've ever seen, on a Corvette, that I liked is the 2004 LeMans commemorative.

The flame looking stripes do kinda blend in on the yellow Vette. All support vehicles also had those flame stripes. [Smile]

I was told that GM was very pleased with the job that all of us did with the Corvettes.I was asked if I wanted to do both race weekends next year...the Indy 500 and the Brickyard 400. I will have to think about the Indy 500 event since I do not like those cars as much as the NASCAR stock cars. [Smile]

Man, Greg, am I jealous! I wish I knew you were going out there! We got there on Saturday morning, but without the Brickyard...the weather did not look promising whatsoever.
It was my first NASCAR race and I loved every minute of it! It is a must for next year and we'll be sure to get an infield spot. I'd be interested in participating in any of the functions that you worked this past year, for sure!

On a side note, what are you doing for Woodward this week? Did you get a spot in Birmingham again? I'd be interested in parking by you this year, if possible...drop me a line.

Kevin, that race was a good one and the weather turned to storms each night but at least did not rain for the event.I will let Howard know that you are interested in working the event. The city of Birmingham is inforcing their 25 year old and older rule this year. They gave us crap about the newer cars last year.Someone needs to see the registrations on all of the Cobra kit cars that line the streets of Birmingham. Most are only a few years old and are not the real thing.I refuse to pay good money for a parking spot. The event has turned into just a business for many and not just for fun anylonger. We are suppling the cars and should not have to pay. I drove a Ford prototype vehicle in the 1997 Woodward Dream Cruise and some placed said it was too new...I said that I will park it where people will appreciate a one of a kind prototype vehicle and ended up parking for free! [Cool]
