I am ordering the SLP Loudmouth exhaust for my 02 SS and am wondering if ordering the Y pipe is worth it, or should I use my factory pipe? Does the Y Pipe enhance the Loudmouth? Thanks guys

That is the EXACT route i took! you will definitely not be diappointed with the y-pipe addition. Gives it a deeper more muscular sound. If need be, I can try taking some sound clips.
Just hope you dont plan on lowering the car too much. My y-pipe is about 4 inches from the ground. (never brushed against it though on speedbumps etc.) Congrats on the new purchase when it goes through! Posts: 2651 | From: Enola (Harrisburg Area), Pennsylvania | Registered: Jan 2002

I did the Y-Pipe too when installing the Loudmouth back in June...with the Bilstein set-up it's only 3 inches or so of ground clearance. But....it sounds great!
