I think this time I'd like to use the Bluegrass Parkway instead of staying on just the Interstates. Any comments - yea or nea?
Would come down 75 then cut over on 60 to the Parkway and then hook up with I65 in B.G. How is the Parkway for travelling?

I haven't been on it in a LONG time, not sure what kind of shape the pavement is in. I'll see if I can find out.

The Parway used to be really nice and empty - took it a lot in the old days. Ky roads are very smooth - no salt - potholes don't seem to exist - at least on the side of the state.

I took it on the way home last year (recommended by one of the servers at the BBQ). Excellent and the extra miles through WVA and the 70 MPH speed limit were fun!

Not sure what all we drove on last year but like JeffY said, Kentucky roads all seem to be good, and extremely scenic.
We're heading down the weekend before,.We've booked a B&B in London, KY, in the Cumberland Gap area. We got rained out of there last year after BG. Hopefully the weather will be better this time around.
