Morning all .............. hope you have a great "Humpday"
The picture of the day is of Danny Ongais at Pomona in 1971 ................. notice the wing above the engine in an attempt to keep the beast "attached" to the racing surface ...................... after a stellar drag racing career, he tried his hand at Indy car racing ............ was competitive, but plagued with horrible luck and numerous severe crashes which ended his career for good

Morning all! Joey, after looking at your car last year, maybe you'll need more than one day.... j/k of course. Your car looks awesome. So don't come break my legs for that joke. Yeah, one more week!

Ahh....... Danny is one of my old favorites... He tried his hand at just about every racing venue..and was very good at all !
Whenever I think of him, I think of that photo of his car up in the wall at Indy.... with his legs dangling out where the front end used to be...
Yuck....
