We made it through another week. Soon it will be play time, time to once again see old friends and make lots of new ones.
For those leaving for BG shortly, remember our F Body seat belt pledge, and please be very careful on the road ways.
Have a great weekend and hope to see you soon!
Play hard, be safe.

To Teri, Steve, Art, Marion, & other early starters heading out for BG, have a safe trip. See you Wednesday.
We're taking a little detour from BG preparations traveling this afternoon to the Muskokas (central Ontario cottage country) for a co-worker's wedding, and returning Sunday.
Have a great weekend everyone.

Morning all ............ hope you have a great Friday and a wonderful weekend
The picture of the day is of the 1972 Funny Car World Champion ............ Doheny & Fullerton's beautiful "Trojan Horse"
This car, complete with its stunning mural on the back window area of the Trojan horse being pulled into a flaming city of Troy, showed up in Amarillo for the '72 World Finals ................ on an open trailer ................... being pulled by a beat-up old Ford pickup .............. and the ruse was complete, as no one gave the car much of a chance ............. just looked like another low-buck team
Kevin Doheny is the grandson of the Doheny oil fortune (LA's Doheny Drive and Doheny Beach) ......... and Larry Fullerton is the nephew of Dale Drake (Meyer-Drake-Offenhauser) ............. lots of money and lots of automotive knowledge ................... they busted everyone's chops .......... and won the World Champion title hands down with outstanding times at the 3700 ft altitude
They pulled off a classic "Trojan Horse" attack

Good morning! Great car weekend here in Monterey. We have the Cherry's Jubilee at Laguna Seca through Sunday. Should have a few hundred pre-1980 street rods and hot rods rolling around the streets! Nothing like eye candy!
Have a great weekend and be safe!
