Author Topic: Pictures of my HMMWV after the Ambush 380SS 1st Gear Member # 2078 posted                    Thought I would share with you the pictures of my HMMWV after we were ambushed on 12 Aug 2003. Two weeks in the hospital and an F-BOD later, I'm very much alive and thankful for it. For those of you who aren't familiar with my incident, the vehicle, which I was riding in, came under attack in Ar Ramadi, Iraq. A friend of mine was recently hurt from shrapnel in the arm when a mortar hit just outside his hotel room in Iraq. We are having a memorial service here on Monday for one of my former soldiers who was killed in Iraq a couple of weeks ago. She just graduated from DLI two months ago. She was an outstanding soldier.
