Morning all ............ here we go again .............. another week
The picture of the day ............... once upon a time in Nascar ............ when stock cars really were stock cars ........... rules deemed favorable to one brand or another caused many problems ............ after Plymouth's dominating season in 1964 the rules were changed to "even the competition" and allownaces were given to Ford .................. the Chrysler camp (and Chrysler Motor Company) walked out of Nascar
Now what does a "good ol boy" do when he can't go roundy-roundy racing ............... he tries drag racing
Shown is the 43jr ............... Richard Petty's attempt at drag racing while he was on his Nascar hiatus ............... the car, a Hemi powered Barracuda, never really performed up to the other cars of the day ............... but what can you expect .............. left turns were not in the script

Good mornin everyone!! Spent yesterday cleaning the SS. Started with the claybar and got several layers of Zaino applied to both of the SS's. Got the starter kit for my hubby as an early anniversary gift. The SS looked so good, I drove him to work today!!

Great Holiday, eh? I flew my older son home on Fri.(to Toronto) from Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, ON. and managed to see him (finally) for dinner just last night up at the cottage! He's off again to a rock concert tonight and we've just come home tonight from up north. Very strange, barely seeing your kid when he flies in for a long weekend! It looks like I'll be able to spend a few minutes with him tomorrow, if I can take him to the airport for his flight back. Thunder Bay is a 14 hr. (on the road) drive from Toronto and just a 1.5 hr. flight across the Great Lakes! But no complaints! The weather this weekend was a total bonus here, with lots of sun and reasonably warm temps! I hope we can spenda bit more time with the kid when he flies in again over Christmas!
