Let me first start by saying this is not a grand stand or a soap box thread. It is only about putting some information out there for those of you that might be interested.
Recently, my wife was involved in the Commonwealth of Virginia's state wide Law Enforcement training concerning the ever increasing problem of gangs. The website below contains thing everyone needs to be aware of with respect to their children or children they are envolved with. Each one of the photos are of signing, writting or tattooes that represent a gang or an affiliation to a gang. I'm putting this out here for one reason and one reason only, so all of you are aware of signs to be on the look for when dealing with your kids. The photos of guys posing were taken within a prison's visting room. the rest of the photos either came from photos out of cell or off inmates as they were processed in.
I think it is very important to let everyone know. What you do with it, is up to you. If someone on here has these marking and takes offense, well I'm sorry, but I've seen to many people killed and locked away for this kind of association. These associations are glorified by many of the current music groups that our kids listen to. Just be aware of what is going on around and with your children. Now I'll step down off my soapbox.

very interesting. I don't think anyone here is offended. You are trying to help. I'm the father of 5, and right now, none are in gangs or have any tatoos.

Let me also say, if you see anything you are unsure of, take a picture of it and email it to me. I will try to get it identified, if it gang related. Va is playing catch-up big time right now and the more intell we can get the better off everyone is.

Reminds me of the punk kid that lives across the street and all of his boys that seem to just stand in the street daring someone to hit them with a vehicle. The parents are no better.They turned into "no morals" bikers! I can't wait to move from there!

Thanks for the great information, Mr. Vargod. I'm a high school counselor in a predominately Hispanic section of Dallas. Many of our kids have tattos, but I didn't know much about the gang-related ones (DISD, in its wisdom, doesn't provide us with much information about gangs.... )
I know we have gangs here, because there have been some big fights lately on & off campus.... ......I will certainly utilize this information!
