I hear that the clear air lid is worth an extra 6 HP.

Charlie has certainly got the bucks, and if he wants it, he won't be out bid. He owns some of the nicest camaros in the US. Interesting that a collector of that caliber finds this car of interest. I wonder what that says for the future of the other GMMG super cars.

Yes, I know Capt. Carl very well. He is a good friend of mine. In addition to the #65 1969 ZL1 and the 2002 #65 ZL1 SuperCar, he also owns two (2), yes two, 1969 Yenko Camaro's (one is fathom green and the other is Lemans Blue) and also a 1976 Corvette. He used to own a 30th Anniversary Camaro SS LT4 similar to yours and mine however, he just recently he sold it to a guy in Texas.

Now that was an interesting post.
It just goes to show that before doing anything in public, whether in person or on the internet, you better make darn sure you know what you're doing because someone will always try to find fault. Whether or not there was shill bidding on that car, the perception is there and that perception will stay for some time. Posts: 2359 | From: Waterloo, Ontario, Canada | Registered: Jul 2001

J.D., I met Carl at last years f-body gathering in Atlanta when he was taking delivery of his new ZL-1. We had several lengthy conversations and I did talk to him about his LT4 at that time, but could not swing it. He told me about one of his Yenko's being the only one with a certain combo of options which I can't recall right now. Really nice guy, tell him Walt Davis said hello, I'm the tall guy with the beard, I'm sure he will remember me that way.
Hopefully this will answer the controversy questions.
No more questions. Oh, a tangled web we weave...
