Well "Thenk Yew" for all the kind words.
An interesting story about #62.....
You'll recall that we auctioned off the last 'saleable' 4th gen Camaro at Kruse Auctions in Auburn, IN over Labor Day weekend of 2002. That was a real tough day.....it was good because we raised some money for a very worthy cause...and Mark was so elated that he had the winning bid on that Z28.....but, it also gave a sense of 'finality' to the end of the 4th gen. I was so proud to look over to the left of the stage and see that Red Z28 on a turntable surrounded by 'his brothers' -- the various Camaro Pace Cars in our collection...with their strobe lights going.....sort of a last 'harrah' if you will........and of course, our friends from the Central Indiana Camaro Club looking on....
I went back to the Marriott that night and, as you can imagine, there were lots of emotions rolling around in the gray matter. At about 11:30 that night, I put the top down in the Z7D I was driving for the weekend....and went for a 3 hour drive. The sound of that LS1 exhaust mingling with the chirping of crickets and locusts....the sudden rush as I'd hit the accelerator and get pushed back into the seat....the feeling of the warm night air blowing thru what little hair I have left....
I kept saying to myself as I drove through the warm night air "How could I have let this happen to such a great family of cars?? HOW?!?!?!?" Of course, there wasn't anything else I could have done (well, perhaps taken hostages, but that would only have put me on the front page of every newspaper on the planet...and a one way ticket to jail.........) But I vowed that I would NOT shut up and that I would continue to hound anyone and everyone that would listen within GM to get another car back that earned the right to wear the Camaro name.
(no...this is not a formal announcement...but have faith!)
Now...to some of you, you might say "so what?" And perhaps you're right...so what...a three hour drive around Indiana.....been there, done that. Well, I gotta tell you...it was and will continue to be one of those "never forget" times. And I guess that I'm pleased that I have that particular Z7D's mate in my garage back in Mars.
I KNOW...just as sure as God made lil' green apples....that one day I'll go for a ride in that Z7D on a warm summer's night....and when I go to park him in the garage and cover him back up, there will be a 5th Gen Camaro sitting in the driveway looking on............
A very very merry Christmas to all of you...and may the new year bring you all that is good!

Congrats Scott Cindy and I are happy for you and We know how you feel. What I love best about the 4th gen camaro's over all the 10 or so of the other 3 gens I owned over the years is once I got the 4th gen cars Cindy and I began going to shows out of our state. As you know my white on white 98 SS vert really started it all for us and that was the year we first met at the U.S.Nationals. Without these cars we would have never met you or so very very many friends we have made around the world. Friends like you and the people on this board come once in a life time all because of a car named Camaro. Hope you enjoy it for many years Scott and Cindy and I will see you soon.

It's about time..... you finally treated your self right! For all of you have done for the brand and our hobby, it is fitting that you can have one of your own, not GM'S, not Chevrolet's, but Scott's.
On behalf the crew of the Central Indiana Camaro Club, have a wonderful and safe holiday.

Very good question but all of us his fans could sign but only problem is there is not enough room on the whole car for all his friends to sign He will have to get him a display board a big one and get all his friends with there build no's to sign it like Pat did in his hauler LOL

That is Great Scott , I could not think of any better gift to buy yourself. Tell your Mother Merry Christmas from the Archer Family and I hope you and all your family have a wonderful Holidays. Just think I'm less than a couple hours from you when you're in Pa. You should think about taking your Mom down to Wheeling to see the Festival of Lights while you're home , a sight to see ,
