Q What's the best practical joke you've ever played on someone?
A The best one is you take a guy's key and you put it on the skate grinder so when he goes to start his car up, it won't turn. In Calgary we used to buy glazed doughnuts and you have the big wax machine where guys used to put their hands and wrists in and we'd dip the glazed doughnuts in there and the wax would just look like glaze. Or you'd get the jelly doughnuts and get a tube of Vaseline and squirt it in there. In the old days when I was in St. Louis, we'd walk by (Blues broadcaster) Dan Kelly and light his newspaper on fire. On the airplane. Times have changed a little bit since then.
One time in Toronto, Kirk Muller put all of Tie Domi's equipment in the hot tub and then hung it all back up all wet. Tie comes in the room and he's pissed.
He comes up to me and says, "Swear on your children that you didn't do it," and I said, "Sure, I swear on my children that I didn't do it." Kirk is getting treatment and Tie goes down and says, "Swear on your children you didn't do it," and Kirk says, "I'm not going to do that." Tie figures out Kirk did it, so he throws all his stuff in the hot tub. Kirk comes back and starts taking his stuff out of Jamie Baker's stall because he switched it all with Jamie's stuff. Tie went nuts.
