I thought you had to show proof of ownership to buy OEM parts?

I wish I could find the black trim piece by the window on the passenger side of my 86 IROC. Its got a small crack in it that I would love to replace.

I thought the same thing but it looks like you don't have to any more.... guess SLP needs the money so they'll sell to whoever... at least people will be able to tell a true SS by the option codes.... Guess its no different then all the muscle cars (camaro and chevelle) ss's you see now... all clones...

Another weird thing, I ordered a part from SLP on the internet last week and was not asked for my vin #.??????? what's up with that?
