My viewpoint on the subject of immigration versus genepool diversity is best expressed by two statements from my illustrious father.
1. If you put all our relatives in a room together, all you have is a full set of teeth.
2. There are no redneck jokes in our family. In our family, they are the truth.
Personally, i listend to the things that bush said, and it sounds like a law that appears to do more than it actually does. Basically, hes only granting new immigrants the right to work if they already have a job here waiting for them, and how many illegal immigrants actually have the resources to secure guaranteed employment opportunities before they emigrate here? Additionally, he wants some record of illegals, to assist in keeping track of how many illegals are here, and what they are doing. This is just another maneuver to prevent terrorism, although I think it may conflict with the obvious need to curb illegal immigration, period.
