Getting ready - rotated the tires last night on the SS, had a very slow rim leak on one of the tires. Had it fixed yesterday, so while it was off I figured time for a rotation! Besides, I got to spend some one on one time with her, it's been awhile since we've been together - soon baby soon, we'll be together again.
Oh - have a great day friends

Morning all ............hope you have a wonderful day
The picture(s) of the day .............. I was watching a car related TV program this past weekend and they had a segment concerning Don Garlits ............. in the segment Garlits claimed to have been the first Top Fuel pilot to have suffered a "blowover" and that the event had occurred in 1976 ............... well, in defense of Jack Martin and to qualify my claims that "Big Daddy" is a "Big Dodo" and a lot of hot air, I bring you three pictures taken by John Ewald at Lions in 1972 ................ the driver of the car is in fact none other than Jack Martin ............... the first picture shows the launch and at this point Jack has no clue as to the amount of trouble he's in ..........
The car carried the front wheels for the first 250' and as Jack started getting into the throttle harder a new phenomonon began to happen ............. the nose went skyward and Jack was about to become the actual first "blowover" victim ............
The car came down on its top, slid backwards down the track and came to rest against the left guardrail .............. Jack was OK, but the car was junk ............. oh well, time to build another one ..........

Good morning all. Checked the rear brake bands on my 97 Blazer yesterday, before I get it inspected. The bands were OK,but found a leaking axle seal. Now I have to fix that before I go to Florida. Thats the first thing that went bad since I got it in 97.

G'morning from Corvallis, Oregon.
Like Steve d W said, it looks like another sunny day here (it sure beats the cold & snow). Off to California tomorrow, and hopefully the nice weather will hold.

Howdy all. Took advantage of the dry roads last night to break the rear Koni's in. Now to get the Ground Control kit and install the fronts (someday soon, I hope).

Only missed ya down there by 6 days (had our quarterly review last Wednesday). What part of Cali are you going to be in? I fly out tomorrow AM for San Fran.

John, too bad you don't have an evening to spend dinner with the Portland, OR group. Give us a head's up for the next trip and let's see what we can arrange.

Thanks Teri!
This is another one of those "no personal time available" trips as I'm travelling as part of a group. There's a good chance I may be returning to Corvallis again in the near future, on my own, and I would have some time to do some site seeing & visiting. I'll keep in touch. Whelp, no chance of running into you at the airport then (unless you fly out of SF Thursday night while I'm picking up my wife at the airport). Have a safe trip. Cy
