Somewhere else I saw some folks talking about "free" mods. Anyone have any ideas what they mean? What can these mods do for my car and if they were available and "free" why wouldn't they have been done to the car in the first place?

If something sounds to good to be true then it probably is and that's kinda what this sounded like to me.

You can cut out the bottom of your air box. This lets more air into the engine. More air in,more exhaust out means more HP. I don't have the instructions handy, but Iam sure someone else on here knows where its at.

Go here: http://www.installuniversity.com/ Then on the left click on "Install Documents" and click on the "Free Ram Air Modification." That's what Ralph was mentioning above. There are other mods in there and do-it-yourself instructions. That's a very useful site! [Smile]

Check out the Throttle Body Bump Stop Mod At:

http://www.installuniversity.com/ also.

Alot of people were talking about it at BG this past year. Some said it took 5 to 10 minutes to do.

From what I understand it is worth it. It allows more air into the engine giving giving a little boost in HP. Have not done it to mine as the SS has been in the garage since November .
