Morning all ............ we have sunshine today ............... have a good one
The picture of the day ............. one of the first wind tunnel tests performed on a dragster (and yes, the car is being run on a set of portable rollers to relieve pressure on the drive train) .......... the car belonged to Connie Kalitta and the facility was the massive complex at Lockheed Marietta in Georgia .......... the year was 1968
Hot Rod magazine sent a photographer and this photograph was a big hit in the mag .......... one thing was shown very clearly in the picture ......... the flame path at speed from the "zoomies" (headers) .............. draw whatever conclusions you may, but I believe this picture shows another of the major reasons the drivers so preferred the rear engined configurations

Yep - should be in the SS again! Caravan shot would be nice. Do you use any print film? I need a good shot for a magazine that wanted a small write up on my car. My shots were not that great. I'll pay!

Cool Brian. Sorry I dont use print film Cant they do it with Digital? I know printing in magazines requires some higher res but I am sure if we take the shots in RAW they could use them. I can take some nice shots of your car for you Lookin forward to it..even if its an SS and has a funny accent Posts: 340 | From: Woodbridge, VA | Registered: Oct 2000
