Next month on the 16th is my 25th Wedding Anniversary. I need some ideas that won't cost me a bundle. Last year my wife and I went to Niagara Falls and met up with Bad Bowtie from this board. That would be cool again.I don't really want to travel farther than the 4 hour trip to the falls. Thanks! Posts: 5682 | From: Dearborn,Mi. | Registered: Feb 2002

Well now!! You've come to the right place!!
But a 4-hour limit?? ....guess y'all won't be coming to visit me.....
For starters: does she like jewelry? flowers?
How 'bout taking her to that fancy steakhouse....can't remember the name....Mr. Hawkeye was asking about it in another thread & Mr. SSRSZ said he takes all his women there.... .....I'll think of it....
....stay tuned for more ideas....

Shula's Steak House. Still want to try that!
Would love to hook up with a few from the board and have a steak dinner.
I think Kathy would like something for the new home. Congrats from Mary and I.

Greg what happened to the cruise idea? I know that you guys talked a little bit about that last year when we were at the falls. We would love to get together again prior to a show. Either way congrats on 25 years, that's awsome.

Is this an invite to your house? I would love to see it. No money for the cruise because of the things we will need for the new house.

Congrats!!! If she likes things Irish I have an inexpensive idea for ya. Downtown Brighton has an authentic Irish Pub. Irish booze, food and entertainment. The manager, cook and one server were brought over from Ireland. Entertainment is on Thrusdays, Friday and Saturday evenings. Once inside this place it is just like being in a pub in Ireland. Food prices are CHEAP with huge portions and excellent. But the beverage bill always runs higher than the food, oh well... The atmosphere is great. Just a thought for ya and again congradulations.

I like Irish pubs. Windsor has O'Ryans. Good food for sure. Where in Brighton is it? Posts: 5682 | From: Dearborn,Mi. | Registered: Feb 2002

It is on Grand River just East of Main St, North side, what we call DOWNTOWN. If you like Irish Pubs you will love this place. They imported the huge wooden posts, beams and most of decor from Ireland. Should you deciede on the Stout let me know I live very close and would celebrate with a drink with you and the misses there or at my place.

Greg I took my wife to the Amish country for our 10 th. last year in Berlin ,Ohio at a very nice Bed and Breakfast. Big 4 poster bed , hot tub in the middle of the room and a remote controled fire place. Might be out of your travel distance but an idea for when you all venture to Ohio again. I can give more details of the place if you're interested. Oh by the way the B & B is in walking distance to over 35 shops ,

Congratulations on the 25th Anniversary Greg. I think A nice candlelight dinner, maybe some dancing to go along with it, how about a romantic movie and of course the loving 25th wedding present.
Again congratulations to you and Kathy. Posts: 2841 | From: Westland, MI | Registered: Apr 2003

Cytruffle, Uhmmmm, I really don't know what the price is for ice tea. See they have these adult beverages that,...when you drink them it is "like an angel p.ssing on yer heart". Get that all warm and fuzzy feeling. I'm sorry, never mind if I have to explain it you will never understand it.

25th is Siver, so you should get something in silver engraved, doesn't need to be expensive.
For our 10th I sent Katie to the Spa (Bloomingdales "Red Door")for a day of pampering - she loved it - and then we went out to dinner together.
All the best.
If I could find her a Silver Camaro and have it engraved she would love that! Usually this time each year we take a Caribbean Cruise. That won't happen unless I win the lotto. I may have set the standard too high and spoiler her.

Congrats to both of you. That is great. Just do something together, that is enough in my eyes. Me and Grace went to Hawaii for our 20TH but didn't do anything on our 25TH. We just spent the time together thinking about how great the last 25 years were and looked forward to the next 25 together.

How about a day spa treatment for the both of you? Some places out here cater to couples. See what they have out by your area. They do you up real good. I've never heard of a woman complaining about getting her nails done, a facial and a full body massage. They have many option to choose from and you can probably make up your own package for you and the wife!
And for you guys who have never had a full body massage, you don't know what you are missing!!
And a big congrats on 25 years! And to 25 more!
