January 6th while minding my own business driving to work I got pulled over by a mean lady cop for my "loud exhaust" which she termed as "excessive noise". I also had been living in VA for almost 3 years and still held my valid PA drivers license. Well she got me for that so I have to appear in court tomorrow . Im a little scared..never went to court Posts: 340 | From: Woodbridge, VA | Registered: Oct 2000

Just a reminder to all those wishing to send care packages to our friend Michelle. Most jails require that the boxes be under 30 pounds and all food items have to be in their original bags and in clear bags only.
Don't forget to send her items she can trade for with fellow inmates!

Good luck. I was pulled over Wednesday in NJ by a State Trooper for going 68 in a 50. Luck was with me as I got off with just a warning. I didn't even get a lecture. The officer was OK.

Going to court is almost as bad as going to the dentist....I don't think you are in for a "root canal", though! Good luck!

Well I'm back to work. I must say I was scared sitting there in the courtroom. They told us all at first that it was going to be a speedy docket so I was glad about that. The cop that pulled me over came in late and then left. I waited maybe an hour before I was called. I had to stand up...say I was present. Then he said what I was summoned for and was asked to walk up front. He asked what it was about my "failure to update license" was about. I told him it was a PA and he asked how long I was living here. Anyway...I told him I had my VA license now with current address and he smiled and said "I'll give you the benifit of the doubt. You're free to go"

Party Time!!! (Now if it had been a guy in front of the judge....) J/K After you get the headers on, just carry some extra earplugs with you in case you get stopped again, you can just say "Here, wear these!" OK, I'm done! (for now!) I'm glad it worked out very well for you!

When I worked full-time, if they were being nice about being stopped for a moving violation and had another violation like licenses, etc., I'd usually give them the ticket for the minor "non-moving" violation. I'd also tell the person (again, if they were being nice) that if they update everything, the judge would USUALLY drop it. The judge's I always worked for were nice like that. I'm glad you're done with it!
