Work at Ft. Hood? Nah.. I work at Scott and White Hospital in Temple. After my dad retired from the Army, I just sorta got stuck here afterwards(been here since 1984). It's not as big or exciting as the big "D" as you know.. but, it's cool to be the only one (that I know of) with a 35th LE, and on top of that being a GIRL!! Hehehe...
Yeah, there are a couple of car clubs here.. off hand, there is Hot F-Body's, American Muscle, and I think it's called, 0-60. With my busy schedule, it's hard for me to really join these clubs and attend their meetings, but I was in the Hot F-Body XMas parade 2yrs ago.
When I attended a meeting, I think all of the guys thought I was someone's girlfriend who owned an F-Body(since I was the ONLY girl there!). But, they were really surprised when they found out what I had! Most of my friends that are girls, aren't into the car scene like I am. So it's cool to know that there are a few girls in this forum who own an F-Body. I may not be as knowledgeable about learning how to mod a car, but I am willing to learn! I just wish I had more $$money$$!!!!
CamaroSSgal: unless we win the lottery, right? Until then.. either dream, or save our $$ Hey, I'll see what I can do about going to KY. It would be nice to go back, I used to live in Ft. Knox for 5yrs.

Welcome! SSOA Membership is NOT mandatory to be a part of this message board. We hope that in one's participation here, they want to be a part of a great organization and join though. Glad to hear your application is on it's way and that you ordered a die cast.
We have a really nice group of people here. I hope we'll have the pleasure of meeting you in person one day.

Awwww.. thanks everyone! I feel so loved now. I just logged on, and was so amazed to see all the responses from everybody
Pierre: You're not that far away from me. Anyways, I wasn't really all that happy with my Z/28 because it was pretty basic (you know.. cloth interior, no t-tops, etc...) But, on the good side I was almost 2 yrs away from paying it off. Then I saw that Capitol Chevrolet in Austin had the last 35th left, and was offering the car to me at a price I couldn't refuse. Now, I'm starting all over paying this car off. The Z/28 was my first ever car, still kinda miss it. But, I'm not complaining now
FireChicken: Yeah, I was a lurker sorta. I didn't post too much. I gained tons of info on how to mod my car. Most of the stuff I have on my car, I helped put it on. If I had more money, I'd like to add more stuff to my car.
Again, everyone, thanks for the responses..

P.S. Anybody that lives near me, maybe we could meet up someday and show these "ricers" in my town who's boss! There are tons of them around here...
