The Eastern Michigan Camaro Club had our very 1st Milan Dragway Racing Night event last night. We only had 15 vehicles show up...mostly were some very fast newer Ford Super Duty's with tweaked Power Stoke Diesel engines. My son brought his 1994 S-10 SS since his Camaro is still getting the damaged 1/4 panel fixed. He was not able to get his NOS bottle filled yesterday. It only had 6 lbs of NOS in it. He managed to run a 13.9 at almost 98mph with a whopping 1.9 60'. He managed to get another 1.9 second 60' before the bottle was empty. The track insisted he wear a helmet and we did not bring one.He rented one and told the track official he was hoping to run a 14.0. The track even refunded his helmet rental if he did not run any more 13 second passes. Boy was Ryan excited! Since we had a poor showing of club members at the track and need all the vehicles to run as possible...I decided to run my 2000 GMC Sonoma. I knew it would be the slowest thing I had ever taken down the track but it was very consistant. With the 2.2L Vortec 4 cylinder and automatic trans,it ran 19.3 at 68.5 mph! LOL!
Pictures to come later.
Brian sorry we did not see you,Rock or Mark there.I guess there is next months rental to look foward to.

Sorry to hear not many showed up last night Greg. My SS is still in the garage and just now got full coverage put back on it. Good thing I called when I did as my insurance company is now closed for the rest of the day............LOL.
Hope to see you there next month and will need directions so I can get there.

Not too bad for a stock engine that only has a K&N cold air and Edelbrock mid lenght headers. It has 132,000 miles on it and the rocker covers have never been off yet. Just think what it may run after if gets a set of 1.6 ratio rocker arms, a higher stall torque convertor and maybe a gear change from 3.42's to 4.10's! Just got my membership stuff in the mail Greg thanks. Maybe I can make it to the strip this summer, in the next month after I get out the SS doing a cam swap and tuning, so once the breakin period is over, I'll be excited to give it a rip....
