last night, I unplugged the Coolant Temp. Sensor and plugged it back in.
I pulled the main harness near the passenger side header as far away from the header as I could and put some high heat adhesive tape on it. Checked and re checked all the wire.
Went for a ride this morning. NO CODES AT ALL!
The idle is smooth, lots of power - go figure!
I'm scratching my head, but in a good way. The only thing I can figure is that heat from the passenger side header was transferring to the wiring harness that leads to the PCM. Just moving it 1/4" may have helped. Keeping my fingers crossed till I can get it to a pro shop for fine tuning!

Maybe just a bad connection at the sensor. The heat around the harness would not have caused that. Posts: 5682 | From: Dearborn,Mi. | Registered: Feb 2002

Excellent news! Fighting codes and problems after a mod is no fun, glad it worked out.

I think it really needs to be tuned.
That's on my agenda now!
