For pitching a complete, no hit, PERFECT game against the Atlanta Braves.

Arizona Diamondback fans, well, ALL baseball fans should be glad for him. WELL DONE!

For those who don't know, perfect games don't come along very often.

Johnson perfect, Mets score 2 in the 9th with 2 outs to beat the Cards 5-4

thank goodness for split screen. the games ended withing a minute of eachother. [Smile]

No kidding. Isringhausen should have shut that door, but I was flipping back and forth between the Mets/Cards and Braves/D'backs and when Johnson did his thing, I flipped back to see Floyd drive in the winning run! OUCH! [Mad]

I'm petitioning to changing the Mets old theme song to "Beat the Mets, Beat the Mets, walk right up and beat the Mets".... [Big Grin]

Congrats indeed. Quite a rare feat and something any fan can appreciate, no matter what team the pitcher is on.

On a side note, my Dodgers are the only team to have a perfect game thrown against them 3 times! Figures!

I am glad to see that there is more intrest than just F-bodies. lol Good for Randy Johnson. I have seen 3 complete games in my life. Wells, Cone, and Johnson. He is a great guy off the field and deserves every minute of it.
